A Trip to Lochaber

Today we travelled to the Lochaber support hub in Fort William. The centre was very similar to the set-up in Invergordon and consisted of a small hub in the centre of the town. The drive to Fort Williams was beautiful passing through Spean Bridge and following the length of Loch Ness.

We attended a short focus group in the afternoon that followed the routine of our visit to Invergordon. Simply telling the support workers and some of the service users about our plans for the film and some of the ideas we already had. The group had some great ideas to highlight key points at their centre in Fort William. Like Invergordon I was delighted to see how passionate the staff were about their positions within Birchwood. The support workers clearly love their job and have fun doing so.

Today was very productive by meeting with some of the team and making arrangements to film in a couple of weeks. I picked up some very interesting points That I may include in the Charity's film.
